Not to be confused with the swanky French or Italian “Riviera” but when this region is home to one of Australia’s most iconic wines, the De Bortoli Noble One, who cares!
The region hosts the International Sweet Wine Challenge, attracting wines from all over the world.
Though the region is famous for its Botrytis Semillon there is an excellent representation of Italian styles that will carry you away to the old country.
The region is also one of the largest and makes vast amounts of mass-produced wine that gets sold in bottle shops around the world in either a bottle or boxed.
