Who knew the gateway to the surf coast was also home to some great wineries?
Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula could be considered the forgotten child, but I am sure this is all about to change.
There are some great winery cellar doors that offer a fantastic experience for the wine traveller and the absolutely cracking wines are going to win the hoards over.
There is three sub regions of Geelong: The Bellarine, The Moorabool Valley and Anakie, (grouped together) and lastly, The Surf Coast.
Expect to find some stunning cool climate wines in Chardonnay, Pinot Gris/Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot and Shiraz.
