Producing world-class fortified wines which are going through a golden period again as drinkers rediscover these exceptional wines that once fell out of fashion for a time.
But wait! There is more to Rutherglen than just fortifieds.
The region, as you will discover, produces some excellent Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier in the white grape varieties and Grenache, Shiraz and in particular Durif in the red wine styles.
There are plenty of cellar doors in the region with a few being located on the billabongs or banks of the great Murray River.
