A foodies paradise! Adam on most occasions is chief pourer and your official winemaker, who is passionate about all the good things in life. His passion shines through in his crazy out there personality that will keep you entertained, informed as well as take out all the stuffiness that is sometimes associated with wine.
A herb garden and vegie patch, on one visit, is where we were ushered to as soon as we got out of the car. The fresh herbs are used to marinate the olives that might go on top of one their pizzas, but this time it was the ripe tomatoes and fresh basil that he wanted us to fetch for a dish that we ate later that day.
Some classy wines to try including a crisp and elegant Vermentino that would sway even the most passionate Sauvignon Blanc drinkers away into this great alternative. The range of wines are excellent which also include two fantastic Shiraz, a Pinot and a lovely sticky. This winery also produces two different methode champenoise apple ciders from the world famous Harcourt apples.
Keep an eye on the many up and coming events at the winery especially if in the area on the weekends during the warmer months as the food that comes out of the kitchen is made from the heart and great for the soul.
We enjoyed our time here so much that we booked in for their roast suckling pig day with another couple and had such an entertaining day, meeting other people during the wonderful informal lunch.
For me Bress is the best place to have lunch at a winery cellar door in the Bendigo region, but make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you are a foodie then this is the best place in the Bendigo region to have lunch at a winery, but you will need to book in advance. The range of wines were terrific and we got to meet the wine-maker, very funny man. Tried a Vermentino which was crisp and flavoursome, a bit like a Sauvignon Blanc but different. The ciders were lovely but a bit pricey for us. Bress has an great range of wines and we liked pretty much all of them. A little way out of Bendigo on the old Hwy but it is not far from the Harcourt turn off and well worth the trip out. Loved and we will be back.

Great little winery where you can grab a pizza on weekends during warmer months, enjoy the view and a glass of their apple cider – a winer with pork.
Adam, the wine make a jovial host.
