Pondalowie

Pondalowie was once located at the sleepy town of Bridgewater but has decided to shift digs to the funky top end of View St, opposite the highly regarded Bendigo art gallery. Surrounded by quirky shops and cool little cafes the new shop front that is now their cellar door makes much more sense and is only a stones throw up the the hill from the ornate town centre fountain.
Inside the premises the mood is slick with timber panelling and a long white bench top and polished concrete floor.
There are two different ranges of wines to try and near the beginning is an easy drinking Pinot Grigio. In the reds we really liked the Shiraz and the Vineyard Blend. On a slightly different note I recently discovered a bottle of the Pondalowie Shiraz in my own cellar that was 10 years old and it was fantastic!
Blokes, think of Pondalowie as the carrot as you partner drags you in and out of all the boutique shops as you stroll up the hill. Or better, just make a beeline for the wine tasting and tell her to take all the time she needs to shop and that she will know exactly where to find you.
“Pondalowie! Making couples across the globe happy” (or at least the ones visiting Bendigo).
